IFIP Working Group 8.3: Decision Support Systems
IFIP WG 8.3 is an international community of researchers and practitioners interested in the use of technology to support decision making. The working group operates under the auspices of the International Federation for Information Processing, the peak international body for the information technology profession.
The working group was founded in 1981, and since that time has regularly met to present and discuss the latest research findings in decision support systems, business intelligence and business analytics. The group holds a biannual conference where peer-reviewed papers are presented. Some of the seminal works in decision support systems have been first presented at IFIP WG8.3 conferences.
Working group conferences are open to anyone with an interest in the use of information technology for decision making, including those wishing to present academic research as well as those simply wishing to attend and participate in the conferences.
Our next conference, IFIP 2018 DSS, will be hosted in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 13-15 June, 2018.
